| So last week I stayed up til 4am two nights in a row. I stay up late a lot, probably too much. I just enjoy the down time after the boys go to sleep too much.
But any way I stayed up til 4 on wed and Thursday(Thanksgiving) to read Breaking Dawn. Now before I go any further I am a dude, A manly dude. I watch way too much football and enjoy watching dudes beat the crap out of each other. And Dude to grow on. So I am not lame for reading the twilight books. They have Vampires, Werewolves. Immolation, and other assorted badassery. They are also pretty romantic. I can go for a romance every so often as long as it is honest and isn't the typical fall in love(Act 1) break up for a stupid reason(Act 2) and then get back together with some grand gesture(Act 3). So the Romance in Twilight is ok for the most part(sketchy in parts of New Moon).
Also I read tons of crappy books. It's a function of my life, I don't have the time I wish I did to dedicate to the more academic side of my literary tastes. It's nice to read a book and not have to think and just let it flow over you.
I took some measure of enjoyment from the first three Twilight books. They aren't deep but that obviouly is not what I am after. They are interestingly written. Entirely in first person and I think articulate Bellas emotions pretty well(Probably why so many young women and me enjoy it). Plus aforementioned badassery.
Crap
So I stayed up two night to finish the the story of Edward and Bella. Honestly I feel like it some how retroactvely ruined the first three books. Complete shit. I won't go into any details to spare spoilers for Anna. But I felt like it need to be said.

| I'm doing some serious Netflix watching . It's so easy to stream through my Xbox I've been watching a lot of cool stuff.
Last week I saw a good documentary called Bigger, Stronger, Faster. It's about steroids and performance enhancing drugs. It brought up some really interesting points about the heroes people (especially men) had in the 80's all being steroid users and how that effected body image. Hulk Hogan, Rambo, Conan, He-Man(yes, cartoon characters use steroids) and many others all contributing to unnatural body images. It wasn't just all about roids either. Other performance enhancer like the ones we give our pilots to make them more aggressive and keep them sharper longer. Adderall being readily available in high schools and college.
I'm certainly not an advocate of any kind of drug use but both sides of this argument were made really well. I recommend everybody check it out.
This morning I watched Confessions of Superhero another doc this time about the people who dress as the characters in front of Mann's Chinese theater. No big surprises they are weirdos. But an interesting and fair portrait of a couple of these really interesting folks. I liked it.

| I finished yesterday and realized I completely forgot a bunch of other tattoos I want. Like I said before My tattoos have to mean something and say something about who I am. I want to be proud of them. As Dorky as it is videogames are pretty important to me. My favorite of last year was Portal. It's a story about a girl who is tormented by a crazed computer while being promised cake as a reward for all the challenges GLaDOS(the computer) puts her through.
GLaDOS
My brother and I have been talking about getting either the Lebanese flag or the maybe just the Cedar tree. We both are pretty proud of our Arab descent. The history is so rich and our family over there is so awesome it's pretty sweet. I think Winston mostly just like the food. One of my best friends in Germany was Tony Lopez. We bought our Xboxs' at the same time and discovered Halo together. We convinced all our friends to buy them and had massive Halo parties. Drinking and playing all night long. Those nights are some of the best memories I have. One night we kinda half-assed it not as many people hardly any drinking and called it an early night. Tony's wife was working late that night and I left him alone. He died that night riding his motorcycle. No Alcohol and he was wearing a helmet. He was a big tattoo fan and it would mean something to both of us.

| I only have one tattoo. It is awesome. Star Wars is something pretty important to me, not in a fanboy way, but a charted course of my life way. I'm very proud of it and what it says about me.I want more many more. But I don't want to do a bunch of small individual ones. I'd rather them be big or part of something big. I was thinking of a sleeve only with Star Wars stuff maybe Kinda like the early Mcquarrie art.
I also want to do everybody's name. Not in like a pretty script or asian. Maybe Arabic or Binary(maybe wrap it around an arm?) Below is Holden Lucas Asher Anna in binary.
Another I definitely want is the Sacred Heart on my my chest. I think it's just such a classic of tattoos. It's not completely original but at the same time it's not overdone at all.
I've been looking for a sweet Power Ranger Tattoo idea but I'm not really having much luck. Maybe there is something here.
| I'll admit I enjoyed the Power Rangers when I was a little kid. Kids like tons of stupid stuff and you can chalk it up to being kids. I was only eight or nine years old when it premiered in 1993(don't question my math). And as I got older I realized all of the things that were stupid about it from the cheesy acting to the bad stories. Power Rangers was stupid.
While clicking through channels I've seen it on. Occasionally I'd stop and watch a few minutes just to check out some of the crazy stuff goin on. You know I was a little sentimental. Lucas loves them so I started to TiVo episodes for him.
Power Rangers are awesome. I don't know why I ever stopped watching. The stuff that was awesome before is still awesome. Huge Fights with slo-mo explosions and lots of posing heroically. Giant Robots(Men in Rubber suits!) fighting it out in city streets. Even the stories and acting are improved.
I think I see a Power Ranger tattoo(more on tattoos next time)in my future.
